Donation to the African Bird Club’s Conservation Fund

Birds on the Brink has made a generous donation to the African Bird Club’s Conservation Fund.

Known to friends and supporters by the abbreviated title ABC, it is an organisation that works for birds and conservation in Africa. To find out more about the African Bird Club, visit their website.

ABC Chairman Keith Betton told me ‘ABC is dedicated to conserving birds and their habitats across the continent of Africa and related islands. Its purpose is also to further ornithology in this region. By fund-raising, it sponsors conservation projects across the African continent and related islands through its Awards and Major Grants Programmes.’

Keith continued: ‘Since its Conservation Fund was launched in 1996, ABC has made grants totalling over £700,000 to support more than 350 projects in 50 countries and territories in the region.’
